Hologic Adds Wayde McMillan to its Board of Directors

The Solventum Corp. CFO's medtech tenure includes stints at Insulet Corp., Medtronic, and Covidien.

Hologic Inc. has welcomed a new board member. Wayde McMillan has been elected to the governing body and will serve on its Audit and Finance Committee.

McMillan has been chief financial officer (CFO) of 3M Company healthcare spinoff Solventum Corporation since 2024 after serving as the CFO of 3M’s Health Care Business Group since November 2023. Previously, McMillan was executive vice president, CFO, and treasurer of Insulet Corporation from March 2019 to November 2023. From January 2015 to February 2019, he served as CFO and vice president of Finance of the Minimally Invasive Therapies Group at Medtronic plc, a medical device company. From November 2006 to January 2015—before Medtronic’s acquisition of Covidien plc—McMillan held various leadership positions at Covidien.

McMillan began his career in accounting, audit, financial analysis, and investor relations positions at various institutions.

McMillan earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Merrimack College and an MBA from Bentley University’s McCallum Graduate School of Business.
